    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Is the palace clearly recognisable as Schonbrunn?

    Yes. The warm yellow facade, the central pavilion and the formal garden axis are all there, and the title band beneath names it directly. The treatment is loose watercolour rather than photographic, so it reads as a painted travel poster rather than a literal architectural study.

    Will the warm yellows clash with a cool grey or blue room?

    Probably, yes. The yellows and oranges are the loudest notes in the piece and they fight cool grey schemes rather than settling into them. It's much happier against off-white, cream, oat, soft plaster, or a warm green wall, and alongside natural materials like oak, linen and rattan.

    Does it work in a hallway given the vertical shape?

    It does. The portrait composition suits a narrow wall above a slim console, and the foliage frame draws the eye into the palace at the centre. Hang it slightly above eye level, keep the console styling simple, and let the print be the single focal point rather than crowding it with other frames.
