Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Yes, but only at the larger size tiers and from fairly close. At small sizes the labels become decorative texture rather than readable. If you want to identify each fruit by name, go for the large or statement size and hang it where people stand within a metre or so.

The cream background does a lot of heavy lifting and keeps the print feeling open rather than crowded. It works best on a plain or softly painted wall, with the rest of the kitchen kept calm. If your cabinets and tiles are already patterned, this isn't the print for that wall.

The illustrations are numbered, and the original Larousse-style plates carry a small key of fruit names along the bottom in French. The text is small and reads as part of the overall vintage character rather than as a headline element.
