    About This Art

At mid-morning, the flying stork turns from nice idea to main character. The blue-grey field is doing most of the work here, and it reads as a wash of quiet colour from across the room. Hung on a plain wall, it lowers the volume of everything around it without leaving the wall bare. It suits a bedroom above the headboard, a hallway where you want one calm moment, or a study wall behind a desk. Keep the company simple: pale wood, linen, cool stoneware, off-white or soft blue-grey paint. Don't crowd it with busy pattern or a tight cluster of loud prints on the same wall, because the empty space around the bird is the whole point. On premium fine-art paper the soft brushed background stays smooth and even.

Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will it look too empty on a big wall?

Not if you size it up. Most of the picture is open blue-grey, so a large or statement size reads as deliberate calm rather than a gap. On a wide wall, give it at least 60cm of clear wall either side and skip anything else on that stretch. If your wall is very wide, a matching pair spaced evenly holds it better than one small piece.

    Does the bird sit off-centre?

Yes. The stork sits high and slightly right of centre, with a long stretch of plain blue-grey below it. Hang it a touch higher than you normally would so the bird lands near eye level and the open colour drops beneath. Centring the frame on the wall rather than the bird keeps the balance looking right.

Will the blue-grey work in a north-facing room?

It will, and it stays soft rather than turning cold, because the tone has a touch of grey-green in it. Cooler light does flatten it slightly, so add warmth around it: pale wood, linen, a wool throw, a warm-toned lamp nearby. Against a chalky off-white or soft blue-grey wall it holds its own comfortably.
