    About this card

The front of this card shows Birds, a woven wool design by William Morris from 1878. Pairs of birds face each other among curling acanthus leaves. The ground is a deep indigo blue. The birds are pale grey with red heads and orange feet. Small flowers in cream and gold sit between the leaves. The design repeats in the way Morris intended, so the card looks like a cut of the original cloth.

It has no printed message, so it works for most occasions. Send it as a birthday card to a friend who likes Arts and Crafts design. Use it as a thank you card for a neighbour or a colleague. It also suits a new home, since Morris made this fabric to hang in his own drawing room.

The card is blank inside and comes with an envelope. Buy one for a single occasion or a pack of 10, 20, 50 or 100 to keep in a drawer. It is printed in the UK.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

    Is the card blank inside?

Yes. There is no printed message, so you can use it for any occasion. It comes with an envelope.

What is the design on the front?

Birds, a woven wool textile designed by William Morris in 1878. The card shows the repeat pattern with paired birds and acanthus leaves on deep blue.

Can I buy more than one?

Yes. The card is sold singly or in packs of 10, 20, 50 and 100. All are printed in the UK.
