    About This Art

Open the curtains at mid-morning; the deep pink and navy will handle the drama. This is Cray, one of William Morris's denser floral patterns, brought into the room as a piece of wall art.

Put it up and the wall stops being a flat surface. The pattern fills it edge to edge, so a quiet room gains a centre of gravity without you having to redecorate around it.

Hang it above a sideboard, a low bookshelf, a console in the hallway, or the head of a bed. The landscape shape suits anywhere wider than it is tall.

Pair with warm timber, brass fittings, plain linen, and a single rug with simple colours. Painted panelling in soft cream or sage works well behind it.

Don't try to match it with another busy pattern on the same wall. Printed on premium fine-art paper, with framing options in real wood.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the pattern feel too busy in a small room?

It depends on the rest of the room. Cray is a dense, edge-to-edge pattern, so it works best when the walls around it are plain and the furniture nearby is quiet — solid colours, simple shapes, warm timber. In a small room with patterned wallpaper or several patterned cushions, it will start to fight. In a small room with plain painted walls, it can absolutely be the only pattern in play.

Does the print include the 'WILLIAM MORRIS / TEXTILES / LONDON / Cray' text at the bottom?

Yes. It's produced in an exhibition-poster style, so the bottom strip carries the artist name, the design name 'Cray' and the TEXTILES and LONDON marks. If you'd rather just the pattern, this isn't the version for you — but the text is part of the design and helps frame it as a proper hung piece rather than a fabric swatch.

What size works best above a standard sofa or bed?

Large is the sweet spot. The pattern is detailed, and at smaller sizes the individual flowers and leaves lose their punch. For a three-seater sofa or a standard double bed, go large so it spans roughly two-thirds of the furniture width below it. Hang it lower than you'd hang a portrait — around a hand's width above the sofa back or headboard.
