    About This Art

Put bluntly, your living room can carry more deep green than it thinks. This William Morris-style poster of two owls among night flowers is built around exactly that — dense foliage, warm browns and a near-black backdrop that makes the whole wall feel settled.

Hung up, the room reads richer and quieter. The cream paper in the type panel keeps it from going too heavy, and the flowers stop it feeling sombre.

It works above a sofa, in a hallway, or on a study wall where you want one strong focal point rather than a busy cluster.

Pair it with velvet or linen in deep green or mustard, oak or walnut furniture, aged leather, and warm brass fittings. A reading lamp nearby brings the gold tones in the owls' feathers forward in the evening.

Skip the bright whites and chrome. This print wants softer light and warmer materials around it — wrapped on canvas with a quiet matte finish that suits the Arts and Crafts mood.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the near-black backdrop feel heavy in a smaller room?

Less than you'd think. The cream type panel at the top breaks up the dark, and the warm browns keep it from going cold. In a smaller room, hang it at eye level on a warm-toned wall and add a low lamp nearby — the dark backdrop actually pushes the wall back rather than closing it in.

Are the two owls roughly the same size in the print, or is one much smaller?

The larger tawny owl on the right is the clear focal point and takes up most of the central composition. The smaller owlet sits to the left at roughly two-thirds the size, slightly behind a branch. The eye lands on the big owl first, then drifts left to the owlet — useful to know when deciding which side to favour on the wall.

Does the exhibition-poster type at the top date the piece or make it harder to style?

The type is set in a classic serif and reads as quiet design rather than loud signage. It anchors the composition and gives the piece a bit of literary, museum-poster character — which is why it sits well in studies, hallways and reading corners rather than fighting them.
