    About This Art

Once the deep blue enters, the whole room stops apologising. A horned owl and a small owlet sit framed by big indigo roses and warm tobacco-brown leaves, with that faux exhibition-poster header doing the rest of the heavy lifting.

A quiet wall starts feeling considered. Dark woodwork looks intentional rather than gloomy, and the warm browns pick up oak floors, leather and brass without trying too hard.

Hang it in a hallway, a study, or above a small console where people slow down and actually look. Eye-level works best — those owl eyes need to meet yours.

Pair with linen lampshades, a stoneware vase, a worn rug in faded reds or olive, and woodwork in deep blue, forest green or off-white.

Don't crowd it with other busy floral prints — let this one do the talking. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang straight from the box.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Is the 'South Kensington' text part of the design or can it be removed?

The exhibition-poster text — including the William Morris header, South Kensington line and dates — is part of the artwork itself and stays on every print. It's designed as a faux museum poster, so the type is the joke and the charm. If you want just the owls, this isn't the right piece.

Will the dark blue background look heavy in a small hallway?

Less than you'd think. The off-white border around the artwork gives the eye somewhere to rest, and the warm brown leaves stop the blue from feeling cold. In a narrow hallway it tends to read as considered rather than oppressive, especially with a lamp nearby.

Does the owlet face the same direction as the parent owl?

No — the large horned owl looks straight out at you, while the smaller owlet is tucked against its chest and faces slightly to the right. It gives the composition a gentle sense of care and movement, which is part of why this one lands as a Mother's Day gift.
