    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Is the cream background a true off-white or more yellow?

    The paper tone reads as a soft, warm off-white with the faintest cream cast — closer to old book paper than bright white. It sits happily next to chalky whites, plaster walls and natural linen without looking dingy, and it stops the dark bird from feeling stark.

    Will it look out of place in a modern home?

    It works surprisingly well in pared-back modern rooms. The cream background and loose composition keep things calm, while the antique label at the bottom adds a bit of character. Hung in a simple wood frame, it softens minimal interiors rather than fighting them.

    Does the small Latin text at the bottom show up clearly?

    The script under the bird is reproduced faithfully from the original plate, so it reads as fine antique lettering rather than bold text. From normal viewing distance it looks like a quiet detail at the base of the image — part of the charm, not a focal point.
