    About This Art

When the study feels over-arranged, this kind of botanical study helps. The two cuckoos sit quietly among broad green leaves and warm brown fruit, with plenty of cream space around them to let the eye breathe. The room settles. Furniture stops competing. The colours are gentle enough to live with every day: deep green, soft sage, warm brown and off-white. Hang it above a writing desk, a console in a hallway or a low sideboard in a country-leaning dining room. It sits well next to oak or walnut, linen and brass. Avoid pairing with very loud abstracts or saturated graphic work — this piece wants quieter neighbours. The canvas finish keeps the edges soft and the colours grounded.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the green and brown tones work with off-white walls?

Yes. The deep green and warm brown sit very well on chalky off-white, cream or soft sage walls. The large cream area in the background acts as a bridge, so the print never looks dropped on the wall — it reads as part of the room rather than a separate object.

Is the composition too busy for a small room?

It's detailed but not crowded. The birds and leaves sit against a lot of pale background, which keeps the overall feel calm. In a smaller room, choose a medium size and hang it above a single piece of furniture so it has room to breathe rather than competing with shelving or pattern.

Does it need to be paired with other bird prints?

No — it holds a wall on its own as a wide anchor. If you do want to pair it, one or two other natural history plates in similar greens and browns work best. Avoid mixing it with bright graphic or pop art, which fights the gentle hand-coloured feel.
