I Googled the Colors I Wanted and Found my Perfect Print

I just moved from a three-bedroom, two story house to a two bedroom ground floor apartment. This is the start of my new life and I want new things in my new place. I stumbled across Fab by Googling, "Print, gold, teal, brown" and they popped up. I found the perfect picture in the perfect orientation with the perfect frame. My anal-retentive brother came over and hung it for me--Perfectly level! It looks perfect. I'm already eyeballing another print for my bedroom that has yet to be decorated. I'll definitely buy from them again.

The colors are vibrant and the quality of the print is excellent. The paper it is printed on is very good quality, too. Will definitely buy more prints from you, I've very impressed with overall.

Choosing a landscape print

Short answers on scale, framing choices, where landscapes hang best, delivery and returns

Which landscape prints work best in a bedroom?

Choose calm, low-contrast landscapes: misty mountains, foggy forests, hazy dawn light, still lakes and simple coastal horizons in muted greens, slate blues, greys and warm neutrals. Save dramatic, high-contrast vistas and saturated sunsets for a living room or hallway, where their energy suits the space. Horizontal, wide compositions echo the shape of the bed and read as restful, so size the piece to roughly two thirds of the headboard width and hang it about 15 to 25 cm above. Two matching prints over bedside tables add gentle symmetry. Simple frames in natural wood, soft black or off-white keep the mood quiet.

What makes a landscape print look vintage, and which antique landscape styles suit a modern home?

A landscape print reads as vintage through the visual language of 19th century painting: warm amber and golden light, hazy atmospheric distance, muted greens and blue greys, visible brushwork, and softened, aged-looking colour. Two antique styles work especially well in modern rooms. Hudson River School views of valleys, rivers and mountains bring sweeping, dramatic light that anchors a sofa or fireplace wall. Softer pastoral scenes with meadows, paths and grazing animals feel quieter and suit bedrooms and hallways. Keep frames simple and let one large print carry the room.

How do I match a landscape print's colours to my room's palette?

Relate the print to your room rather than matching it exactly. Name the two or three largest colour blocks in the space, like wall colour, sofa and rug, then choose a landscape that echoes one or two of those tones while varying depth or saturation, so the art reads as its own layer. Keep undertones aligned: warm rooms with clay, ochre and golden-light scenes, cool greys and blues with misty coastal or forest views. Warm earthy palettes are dominating interiors now. Muted views calm a room; stronger contrast energises it.

What size landscape print should I choose for above a sofa or bed?

For above a standard sofa or double bed, a 70x100cm landscape art print hits the sweet spot. It fills roughly two-thirds of the furniture's width, which is the proportion that looks intentional rather than lost on the wall. Go any smaller than 50x70cm and you'll wonder why the wall still feels empty. Our largest framed landscape prints ship ready to hang with fixtures already attached, so you're not messing about with separate frames that never quite fit.

Do landscape prints work in every room or just living spaces?

Landscape art prints are brilliant in living rooms, but they're quietly underrated in bedrooms and hallways too. A muted coastal landscape print in soft blues and greens can make a bedroom feel genuinely restful, while a narrow hallway benefits from the horizontal pull of a landscape orientation because it visually widens the space. For bathrooms, we'd nudge you toward a framed print rather than canvas since the UV-protective acrylic glaze on our frames protects against light and keeps the print looking sharp for years.

How does the 2/3 rule work when hanging landscape wall art?

The 2/3 rule means your print should span roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below it. So if your sideboard is 120cm wide, aim for a print around 70x100cm. It prevents the classic mistake of hanging a small print over a wide piece of furniture and ending up with a room that still feels unfinished. If you don't have furniture beneath the art, use two-thirds of the wall section instead. Our landscape prints go up to 70x100cm framed, which covers most standard living room setups perfectly.

Should I pick a framed or unframed landscape print?

If you want zero hassle, go framed. Our framed landscape prints arrive completely ready to hang, with the print properly fitted into a solid wood frame with UV-protective glazing. No warping, no bubbling, no separate-frame-that-doesn't-quite-match headaches. Unframed works if you already have a frame you love or want to switch things around later, but honestly, most of our customers go framed and tell us the quality is better than they expected. The museum-grade giclée printing looks stunning behind the acrylic glaze.

What types of landscape art are available, and which style works best in a modern home?

You'll find everything from mountain landscape prints and coastal scenes to abstract and vintage landscape art prints in our collection. For a modern, pared-back interior, we'd point you toward contemporary landscapes with clean compositions and a limited colour palette rather than busy, hyper-detailed scenes. Think open skies, single horizons, muted earth tones. If your room already has a lot going on with textiles and patterns, a simpler landscape gives the eye somewhere to rest. For Scandi or minimalist spaces, nature landscape prints with soft greens and greys are hard to beat.
