About This Art

We like village scenes best when they come with a little abrasion. The pink-washed walls, the bright blue door, the lilac-painted steps climbing to a glimpse of sea — it's a holiday memory rather than a postcard, and it carries the textured, sun-bleached feel of a place that's been lived in.

Put it on the wall and a quiet room warms up. The cream and pink soften plain plaster, the sky blue keeps it from going syrupy, and the deep palm greens give the eye somewhere to settle.

Hang it in a hallway, above a console in an entryway, or in a kitchen where the morning light already does half the work. Portrait shape suits narrow walls and stairwells.

Pairs happily with pale oak, rattan, linen, terracotta pots and stoneware in clay and cream. A bit of brass keeps the warmth honest.

Don't drown it in busy florals or heavy navy schemes — it wants a calm wall, not competition. Printed on premium fine-art paper, available unframed or framed in real wood.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the print feel like a photograph or an illustration?

It's clearly an illustration, with a slightly textured, hand-painted finish. You can see brush-style marks in the walls and palms. It's not a polished travel photo — it's softer, warmer and a bit more relaxed, which is why it sits well in lived-in rooms rather than feeling like a poster.

Will the pink read as too sweet in a grown-up room?

The pink is a warm, sandy plaster pink rather than a sugary one, and the deep palm greens and sky blue stop it tipping into cute. In a room with oak, linen or terracotta nearby it reads as warm and lived-in, not nursery-soft.

Is the portrait shape better for a hallway or above a sofa?

Hallway, entryway or narrow wall is the strongest fit — the vertical pull of the steps and palms suits taller, leaner spaces. Above a wide sofa it can feel a touch small on its own; if you want it there, pair it with one or two quieter pieces.
