About This Art

The oak frame matters first; it tells the living room you're serious. This William Morris-inspired exhibition poster brings a ginger tabby out of a tangle of cream and rust-red flowers, with the kind of warm, dusty palette that softens a whole wall.

Put it up and the room reads warmer straight away. The browns pull out the wood in your furniture, and the cream border keeps everything calm rather than busy.

It works above a reading chair, a low sideboard, or in a hallway where you want one thing to look at properly. Hang it at eye level so the cat meets you on the way past.

Pair it with linen, aged leather, brass handles, and a stoneware lamp. A jute or wool rug underfoot finishes it.

Don't crowd it with other busy florals or competing typography posters — let this one do the talking. Printed on heavyweight fine-art paper for a soft, matte finish.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the cream border around the artwork print as part of the poster?

Yes. The pale cream border with the WILLIAM MORRIS title at the top and the COTTON PRINTS EXHIBITION text at the bottom is part of the printed design, not added margin. If you frame it with a mount, the mount will sit outside that border rather than crop into it.

Will the warm browns and rust tones clash with cool grey walls?

They'll fight a little. The palette is firmly warm — ginger, cream, rust and deep olive-brown — so it sings against off-white, plaster pink, soft beige or sage walls. On cool grey it can look stranded. If your walls are grey, try it in a warmer room like a study or hallway instead.

Is the cat the focal point or does the floral pattern take over?

The cat holds the centre. The florals are dense but framed around the cat's face and chest, and the lighter cream flowers behind the head act like a soft halo. From normal viewing distance the eye lands on the cat first, then travels out into the pattern.
