Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

The cream ground is printed as part of the artwork, matching the warm, slightly aged paper tone of the original plate. It reads as a soft, even cream across the print rather than a bright white, which is why it sits well against off-white plaster and painted walls.

The plate keeps a lot of fine detail — wing feathers, eye markings and the texture of the cliff face all read clearly from about 1.5 to 2.5 metres away. Closer in, you'll pick up the small flashes of deep green-blue on the swallows' wings.

No — the composition has a lot of empty cream around the birds, so even at a medium size it reads as a calm, anchored piece rather than a busy one. It works well as a single focal print above a small writing desk or narrow console.
