    About This Art

You don't need more decor. You need one dog drawing with teeth. This is a border collie built from a single tangle of black line on white, and it does the work of three quiet pieces. Put it up and the wall stops being background: the eye goes straight to the raised ear and the turned head. It suits a hallway, a study or the gap beside a doorway, where you pass it close and read the linework. Keep company simple — pale wood, black metal, linen, plain painted walls. Don't crowd it with other patterned or busy art, and skip a heavy mount; the white space around the scribble is doing half the job. On fine-art paper the ink lines stay crisp and hairline sharp.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does it still look like a border collie from across the room?

Yes. Step back and the tangle resolves into the shape of a standing collie, with the raised ear and turned head reading clearly. Up close you see the loops instead. Around 1.5 to 2.5 metres away is the sweet spot, so it suits hallways and desk walls where you get both views.

Will it work on a coloured wall or does it need white?

It works on most mid and pale walls — soft grey, greige, sage and dusty blue all set off the white background nicely. Very dark walls make the white ground pop hard, which can feel abrupt. If your walls are deep, a wider white surround or a framed version helps soften the jump.

Is a medium size enough or should I go large?

Medium suits most hallways, desks and consoles, and keeps the linework tight and legible. Go large if the wall is over about a metre and a half wide or you want it to carry a sofa on its own. Very small sizes lose the detail in the coat, so avoid going too tiny.
