    About This Art

Late afternoon is when this one earns its wall. Low sun on a west-facing landing turns the orange trunks almost hot, and the pink sky behind them lifts with it. By evening the teal canopies take over and the whole thing cools down, so the piece changes twice a day on its own. Give it the stair wall. A tall run of plaster or off-white paint, one lamp on the half landing, nothing else hung near it. The navy trunks hold their own against dark stained banisters, and the pink stops a north-facing stairwell from feeling grey at midday. Keep the carpet plain. Hang it so the tallest trunk starts roughly at eye level from the bottom step. Fine-art paper keeps the pink matt, so it reads clean even in glare.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the colours be too much in a small hallway?

Less than you might think. A narrow hallway usually has one long wall and very little else on it, so a single strong piece fills the role a window would. Keep the wall paint plain, either off-white or a dusty pink, and leave the rest of the wall bare. The teal and navy do most of the work, so it reads as one block of colour rather than a riot.

How big should I go on a stair wall?

Go taller than instinct says. On a stair wall the eye travels upward, and a 1:2 format below 80cm tall shrinks to a strip. At 100cm to 120cm tall the trunks reach something close to real scale and the landing feels planted. Set the centre a little below eye level from the bottom step, so it reads well both climbing and coming down.

What wall colour works behind it?

Off-white and plaster pink are the safest. Both let the pink sky run onto the wall so the piece looks bigger than it is. Deep green or navy also work if the hallway has good light, since the trunks and canopies share those tones and the orange jumps forward. Avoid mid greys, which flatten the teal and make the pink look chalky.
