    About This Art

Hang this where the side-light hits and the mustard yellow sharpens. It is a quiet piece with a lot of detail in it, so it rewards a wall people pass close to rather than one they view from across the room. Put it up and the room reads as considered rather than themed: the cream background keeps things light, while the blue, gold and warm brown give a wall of neutrals something to hold on to. It works above a desk, along a hallway, or on a narrow strip beside a doorway. Pair it with dark stained wood, aged leather, tweed and a little brass. Avoid crowding it with busy patterned wallpaper or loud novelty signage, which flattens the fine detail. On premium fine-art paper the small brushwork and scale markings stay crisp.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the detail still read at a smaller size?

At small sizes the two lures stay clear but the fine scale markings and hook detail start to soften. If you are hanging it in a hallway or above a desk where people pass close, medium is the safer pick. Small works best when it is one of several pieces in a tight cluster.

Does it look too much like fishing gear on the wall?

It is painted like a natural history study rather than a tackle catalogue, so it reads as an illustration first and a hobby subject second. In a study or hallway with dark wood and leather it looks collected rather than themed, which is why it suits people who do not want a novelty fishing sign.

What wall colour suits it best?

Warm off-white, soft cream and muted sage all work, because the cream background blends in and lets the brown and mustard do the work. Deeper walls like olive or dark green also suit it and make the gold stand out. Cool grey-blue walls are the least flattering option.
