Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

No — the cream actually helps. Against a bright white wall it reads as warm and aged rather than dirty, and gives the black plumage somewhere to sit. If your walls lean very cool or stark, a slim black frame helps tie the two together and stops the cream feeling isolated.

Yes. The palette is mostly soft cream, black and grey-green rather than bright blue, so it reads as a calm naturalist study rather than a beach-house cliché. It sits well with linen, pale woods and stoneware, and pairs nicely with washed blue-green landscapes if you want a quieter coastal feel.

Close viewing is actually where this piece shines. The hand-coloured engraving rewards a 1–2 metre viewing distance, so above a writing desk or console is ideal.
