    About This Art

Because the painter knew restraint, the deep green hits harder here. Most of the page is left empty, so the bird reads as one confident shape with a spray of feathers breaking outwards. Hung up, it slows a room down. Walls stop feeling bare without getting busy, and the green picks up on plants, glazed pots and painted woodwork. It works above a bed, on a narrow hallway wall, or on a study wall where you sit close enough to see the brush marks. Keep the surroundings simple: linen, pale or dark wood, stoneware, a chalky off-white or soft green wall. Avoid crowding it with heavy pattern, gold-heavy mirrors or other large botanical pieces — the empty space is doing the work. As a canvas, the edges soften and the wash reads more like a painting on the wall.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Is the background plain white or slightly warmer?

It reads as a soft off-white with a faint warm, papery tone rather than a bright pure white. That means it sits happily against cream, stone and chalky off-white walls without looking like a mismatched block of white. On a very cool bright white wall the background looks slightly warmer by comparison, which most people find softer.

Will it look too sparse on a large wall?

Only if you go small. The bird occupies a narrow vertical band with a lot of open space around it, so at small sizes the shape can get lost. Choose a large portrait size and keep clear wall either side, so the emptiness reads as deliberate breathing room rather than an underfilled gap.

Does the green work in a room that already has lots of plants?

Yes, and it usually improves things. The greens here are muted and slightly grey, so they sit behind the brighter living green of foliage rather than competing with it. Place it near a fern or trailing plant and the two echo each other. Just keep other patterned greenery, like leaf wallpaper, off the same wall.
