    About This Art

What's the living room missing? Soft grey with some nerve. Constable's Harwich beacon looks quiet from across the room, then pulls you in — the sky does most of the work, and the small red figure at the shoreline keeps your eye moving. Hang it above a low sofa or a long sideboard so the wide horizon has room to breathe. It pairs with linen, aged leather, dark wood and warm off-white walls, and it lifts a study or hallway that feels a bit flat. Skip it if your room already leans very colourful or graphic — this piece wants space, not competition. Printed on premium fine-art paper for depth in the cloud tones.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the muted grey and brown palette feel flat on a white wall?

It reads soft, not flat. On a bright white wall the cream sky tones lift and the warm brown foreshore anchors the piece. If you'd like more warmth, hang it on a chalky off-white, soft sage or clay-painted wall — those finishes bring out the warm undertones and make the small red figure pop a little more.

How large should I go above a three-seater sofa?

Aim for a piece roughly two-thirds the width of the sofa. For a standard three-seater that usually means a large landscape size. The wide horizon and big sky in this scene want breathing room, so err on the larger side rather than smaller — a piece that's too small will float and lose its calming effect.

Does this work in a modern room, or only in traditional interiors?

It bridges both. In a modern room it softens sharp lines and adds a bit of history without feeling fussy — try it with a low linen sofa, dark wood table and one brass lamp. In more traditional rooms it sits naturally with leather, dark timber and layered textiles. Avoid pairing it with very graphic or neon pieces.
