    About This Art

Watch the pine tree land, then the purple start doing damage. The hillside reads as quiet dots until your eye settles, and then the warm yellows and dusty pinks lift the whole room. It changes a beige living room from polite to interesting without shouting. Hang it above a sofa or sideboard at eye level, on a wall with a little warmth — cream, ochre or soft plaster. Pair it with walnut or warm oak, linen and velvet, brass lamps, and ceramic in earth tones. Avoid placing it next to cool grey art, glossy chrome, or anything monochrome — the colour wants company that's relaxed, not clinical. Printed on premium fine-art paper for crisp dot detail.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the dotted brushwork still read clearly at a normal viewing distance?

Yes. Step back to about 1.5 to 2.5 metres and the dots blend into the hillside; step closer and you see the individual marks. That's how Cross intended it to work, and the print is sharp enough to hold both views.

Is the purple too strong for a neutral living room?

It reads as a dusty, warm purple rather than a cold one, so it sits happily with cream, oat and ochre walls. If your room is already cool grey or very minimal, it will feel out of place — it wants warmth around it.

Does it work as a single statement piece or only in a gallery wall?

It works best solo as a vertical anchor above a sideboard, sofa or desk. It can lead a small cluster of quieter landscapes and botanicals, but it does not want to compete with another busy, colourful piece beside it.
