Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It can. The yellow here is rich and carries the whole image, so it reads best against an off-white, chalky cream, soft grey or muted green wall. Strong yellow, terracotta or warm orange walls flatten the ground and weaken the contrast with the green leaves.

At small sizes the swallow still reads as a dark shape, but the detail in the wings softens. For the bird to feel like a clear second focal point alongside the flowers, the medium tier is the safer choice, especially if you view the wall from more than two metres away.

It holds a wall comfortably on its own — that's the easiest way to use it. If you do pair, keep companions quiet: another Hokusai kacho-e, a soft ink botanical, or a plain calligraphy print. Avoid hanging it next to anything brightly coloured or busy.
