About This Art
Most forest prints behave. This one picks a side. Vertical trunks in deep green and near-black, scattered with mustard, burnt orange and gold dots — it leans warm, loud and decorative rather than quiet and woodland.
Put it on the wall and the room reads richer straight away. The yellows wake up brass, oak and warm whites; the dark backdrop calms a busy room and gives lamps something to bounce off in the evening.
It likes vertical walls — between two windows, at the end of a hallway, above a console or sideboard. Hang at eye-level and give it a bit of breathing space on either side.
Pair with velvet or bouclé in deep green or rust, aged leather, walnut timber and a warm-toned rug. Cream walls or a deep moody paint both work.

How do I frame an art print?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the dark backdrop look too heavy in a smaller room?
It can if the room is also dark. In smaller rooms, balance it with a warm off-white or soft plaster wall behind, and keep nearby surfaces light — pale oak, cream upholstery, a linen lampshade. The gold and mustard dots then lift it rather than letting the near-black weigh things down.
Does the gold actually look gold, or more like mustard yellow?
It reads as warm mustard and burnt orange in daylight, and edges towards gold under warm lamplight in the evening. There's no metallic foil — the gilded feel comes from the painted yellow dots against the very dark trunks, which is the same trick Klimt used in his forest series.
Is this better above a sofa or in a hallway?
Both work, but it earns its keep most in a hallway or between two windows where its tall, vertical shape has somewhere to go. Above a sofa, choose the large or statement size so the trunks don't feel cropped, and leave clear wall either side.
