    About This Art

Some dog prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. The whole terrier is built from one racing black line on white, so it acts like a graphic full stop on a quiet wall. Put it up and the wall stops being background: the eye goes straight to the dog, then to whatever sits under it. It works at eye level in a hallway, above a desk in a study, or in a run of small frames up the stairs. Keep the company simple: white or grey walls, black metal, plain ceramics, a bit of pale wood. Don't crowd it with busy florals or heavy patterned wallpaper, and don't bury it behind lamps and clutter. On paper the white ground stays flat and clean, which keeps the linework sharp.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does it still read as a Jack Russell from across the room?

Yes. The head, ears and stance are set out clearly, and the eye and muzzle are the tightest part of the drawing, so the breed lands first. From a couple of metres the scribble reads as fur and movement rather than mess. Up close you get the fun of following the single line around the body.

Will it look odd next to colourful furniture?

It rarely clashes, because there is no colour to fight with. Black and white sits beside mustard chairs, green cabinets or a red rug and just adds definition. The one thing to watch is busy pattern directly around it — patterned wallpaper competes with the linework, so leave plain wall on either side.

Is there a lot of white space, and does that matter for size?

There is, and it does. Roughly two thirds of the picture is plain white ground, which is what makes the dog stand out. Go too small and the linework crowds together; go very large and the white can dominate a small wall. A medium portrait size is the safest choice for most rooms.
