    About This Art

Rooms go quieter when black is this sure of itself. One cat, one tangle of pen lines, nothing else competing on the wall. Hang it and a plain white or grey wall suddenly has a focal point, without adding a single new colour to the room. It suits a hallway at eye level, a study above a desk, or a narrow gap between doorways where a busier picture would feel cramped. Keep the styling simple underneath: pale wood, a plain vase, black metal details, one or two books. Skip heavy pattern nearby, and avoid crowding it with other black-and-white line drawings of animals, which flattens the joke and the energy. Printed on premium fine-art paper, with a real wood frame option if you want crisper edges.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the cat still read clearly from across the room?

Yes. The tangle of lines looks busiest up close, but from about a metre and a half back the shape settles into a standing cat with a raised head and long tail. That is why a medium size on a wall you view from a few steps away works better than a small one over a desk you sit right beside.

Will it look too stark on a white wall?

It reads crisp rather than cold, because the lines are loose and hand-drawn rather than hard-edged. On a white or soft grey wall the black stands out cleanly. If you want a bit more warmth, style it above pale wood or with a plain stoneware vase and let those materials do the softening.

Can I hang it with my other cat pictures?

It can, but keep the company quiet. It works best as the biggest piece in a small group of two or three, alongside plain typography or a simple ink abstract. Put it next to several other black-and-white animal sketches and the wall starts to compete with itself and the drawing loses its punch.
