    About This Art

Back in the 1960s, this scribble drawing belonged to another kind of home. Loose, fast line work like this once lived in sketchbooks and design studios, and it still carries that quick, unfussy energy. Put it up and a flat wall gets movement without gaining colour. The black line does the work; everything around it stays quiet. It suits a hallway, a study wall above a desk, or the gap between two windows in a living room. Pair it with pale wood, off-white walls, linen seating and simple black metal fittings. Don't crowd it with heavy pattern or busy florals — this one needs white space around it to read properly. On premium fine-art paper the line stays crisp and the white background reads clean.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the scribble still read as a cat from across the room?

Yes. From a couple of metres back the tangle settles and you read the ears, the turned head and the long tail straight away. Up close you see the individual loops instead. That double reading is the point, so hang it where people pass at about 1.5 to 3 metres.

Does it look like a ragdoll specifically, or just a fluffy cat?

The cues are there: the heavy ruff around the neck, the dense body and the long plumed tail all point to a ragdoll or similar long-haired breed. It isn't a breed study though, so most long-haired cat owners will recognise something of their own cat in it.

Which size suits a narrow hallway wall?

A medium portrait size is the safest pick. It gives the lines room to separate without swallowing a narrow wall. Leave at least 15 to 20cm of bare wall on each side so the white background reads as part of the drawing rather than a gap between other objects.
