    About This Art

Open the curtains at mid-morning; the black scribbled line will handle the drama. Daylight hits the off-white background and the loops sharpen up, so a flat wall suddenly has a focal point without any colour being introduced. It reads as one calm shape from across the room, then breaks into hundreds of tangled pen lines when you stand close. Hang it in a hallway, above a low sideboard, or on a study wall where you pass it daily. Pair it with pale wood, painted furniture, black metal legs and plain linen. Keep the wall around it quiet: patterned wallpaper or busy shelving will fight the linework and turn it into visual noise. On fine-art paper the thin lines stay crisp and the paper white does the rest.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does it still look like a cat from across the room?

Yes. The scribbles build up densely enough that from around two metres back you read a sitting cat with folded ears straight away. Step closer and it breaks apart into loops and tangles. That shift is the appeal, so leave enough clear wall around it for both views to work.

Will the thin lines get lost in a bigger size?

No, but scale sensibly. In medium sizes the lines stay tight and the shape is obvious. Going very large spreads the scribbles out and the piece reads as looser and more abstract, which is fine on a big plain wall but less clear in a small hallway.

What breed is the cat and does that matter for styling?

It is drawn as a Scottish Fold, so the ears sit flat against the head rather than pointing up. That gives the silhouette a rounder, softer top edge. If you own a folded-ear cat it reads as a nod to your own pet; if not, it still simply looks like a sitting cat.
