    About This Art

Every house has one wall that gets ignored. Usually it sits at the top of the stairs, or beside the coat hooks, or facing the loo door. Give it the ghosts. Three cream shapes on a black ground read clearly from the bottom step, so the joke lands before anyone reaches the landing. Black makes a plain white wall look crisper, and painted panelling in dusty blue or deep green works just as well. Hang it at eye level for whoever climbs the stairs most, which is lower than instinct says. One hook. Nothing either side of it. Come October that landing becomes the best corner in the house, and by March nobody remembers to ask you to take it down. On premium fine-art paper the thick brushwork shows up in light from a landing window, and a black wood frame finishes the edge.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will this look out of place hanging up in spring?

Less than you would think. The palette is black and cream with nothing orange or purple in it, so from across a room it reads as a graphic painting first and a Halloween piece second. In a hallway or kids' room it settles into being the house joke by December, and most people stop noticing the season and just enjoy the ghosts.

Does the black ground work on a dark wall?

It depends on how dark. On charcoal or navy the ground melts into the wall and only the ghosts float, which some people love in a snug or study. On off-white, pale grey or dusty blue the black edge stays crisp and the whole picture reads as a solid block, which is the stronger look for a hallway or landing.

What size suits a narrow hallway or landing?

Medium is the sweet spot, roughly the width of a slim console or a little wider. The three figures need enough room to read as a group from the far end of the corridor, but go too large and the dark ground overwhelms a tight space. Aim for it to fill about two thirds of the wall width it sits on.
