Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

The background is a warm aged-paper tone, so on a crisp white wall it reads as a deliberate antique note rather than a clash. It looks most at home against off-white, chalky cream, sage or soft clay walls, where the warmth ties in. If your walls are very cool blue-white, consider a brown wood frame to bridge the temperature.

In medium it suits a desk, console or narrow hallway. To anchor a full sofa or sideboard wall on its own, go for the large or statement size, or pair it with one or two other antique bird or botanical plates to fill the width. The detail rewards a closer look, so it shouldn't sit too far above eye level.

It works in both, but the modern room needs a little warmth already — aged oak, leather, linen or a painted wall. In an all-white, chrome and glass space it can feel marooned. A simple dark wood frame and one other warm material in the room is usually enough to ground it.
