Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Yes — the brushed characters along the top edge are part of the original woodblock and are printed exactly as Hiroshige's design has them. They're a poem paired with the image, which was a common tradition in bird-and-flower prints. They sit as soft grey marks against the sky and read as part of the composition rather than as separate text.

It softens against bright white but doesn't disappear. The cream paper tone and the deep indigo at the water's edge give it enough weight to hold the wall. If your wall is very stark white, a warm wood frame helps anchor it. Against chalky off-white, greige or soft plaster, it sits even more comfortably.

The heron is the clear focal point. The white body fills the upper centre and the long neck pulls the eye up, while the irises sit lower and to the sides as supporting detail. From a normal viewing distance the bird reads first and the flowers fill in afterwards, so the composition has a calm hierarchy rather than competing parts.
