How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the near-black background look heavy in a small room?

Less than you'd think. Because the pattern is dense and varied, the eye reads it as texture rather than a solid dark block. In a small snug or hallway it actually adds depth — pair with one warm lamp and a lighter rug to balance.

Is the pattern symmetrical or does it have a clear focal point?

It's a repeating-style pattern rather than a single focal subject. The deep red peony anchors the lower-right, with the two birds set higher and apart. Read it as a tapestry panel — it rewards a glance more than a long stare.

Does it work in a room that isn't already painted a deep colour?

Yes, but it shifts. On warm off-white or plaster pink walls it feels softer and more English country. On deep green, inky blue or oxblood walls it leans dramatic and old-world. Both work — pick the mood you want.
