How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the purple clash with a warm beige or cream kitchen?

It shouldn't. The artwork already sits on a warm beige background, so the deep purple reads as an accent rather than a clash. It works best against off-white, beige or pale oak. It will fight a strong red or mustard scheme, so think about your existing tones before committing.

How big does the wall need to be?

A medium portrait suits a wall stretch of around 50–80cm wide. It's well suited to small kitchen walls, the gap beside a kettle, above a low sideboard or on a breakfast nook wall. For a larger feature wall, consider sizing up or pairing it with one quieter companion piece.

Does it work in a kitchen that gets a lot of steam and splashes?

Hang it a sensible distance from the hob, sink and kettle spout. A framed art print with acrylic glazing offers more protection than an unframed one. Avoid placing it directly behind a worktop where it could be hit by water or oil.
