About This Art
Somewhere between William Morris and folk illustration, this winter bear refuses to behave. It sits dead centre, warm brown against near-black, ringed by red berries, dark green pine and tiny gold stars.
Put it up and a quiet room gets a focal point with weight. The deep background steadies everything around it and the warm brown gives lamps and timber something to talk to in the evening.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the dark background look too heavy in a small room?
It carries weight, but it also gives a small room a clear focal point rather than competing with the walls. On a chalky off-white wall it reads warm and grounded. On a deep green or navy wall the bear pops while the background quietly disappears. A nearby lamp lifts the gold stars in the evening.
Is this a real William Morris design or inspired by him?
It's inspired by William Morris and the Arts and Crafts tradition rather than a reproduction of one of his original works. The exhibition-poster format and dense foliage border nod to that era, but the bear and composition are an original folk-style illustration in keeping with the look.
Does this work year-round or only at Christmas?
It works year-round. The red berries and pine read seasonal in December, but the warm brown bear and earthy foliage carry it through autumn and winter, and the folk style sits happily in cosy interiors any time of year. It's not a tinsel-and-baubles print.
